Opalized Cockle Shell - all 3 shells
Opalized Cockle Shells
Instead of becoming ordinary fossils, these shells from Coober Pedy in South Australia, became opalized (silicon dioxide and water). They are found mainly in the opal mining areas of Australia along the edges of what was once a huge inland sea. Each shell has a varying amount of opalization but each has a little.
If purchased you will receive all 3 shells in the pictures.
